....art washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life - Pablo Picasso

Kia Ora and Thanks for visiting my home. The home of Scottie Art where I feature my work as an Artist.
My name is Scott Ritchie and this is what I do...

I have written a brief explaination on the 'Artist' page outlining the technical aspect of the type of drawing I do but basically, I create drawings made up of small dots of ink by mostly copying photographs. What I try to do is breathe life into a flat, two dimensional image and my goal is Always to make my image look better than that photograph. Rather than explain that anymore, I hope my work can speak for itself and you can decide whether I achieve this or not.

Take some time to check out the different pages on here and link over to the SCOTTIE ART Facebook page as well from time to time, to keep an eye on the progress of my latest drawings because that's where I do a lot of my updates OR... just stop by and say hello. Facebook and I have become quite good friends not only during my travels but while I draw as well, so I'm never too far away and I always appreciate any feedback.
Kia Ora and Thanks for being here

Nau Mai, Haere Mai and Welcome... to

The Gicle'e Print you order from Scottie Art is a very high quality archival museum standard Print.

Print sizes are 18 X 24 inches though we may do up to 36 X 48 inches soon but if you have a custom size you just gotta have we will work with you and make it happen.
The print material we use is a Cotton Rag white paper. A nice, heavy, quality paper often used for Gicle'e and well known around the art world for it's superior properties.
Canvas Gicle'es are also available and becoming very popular with that 'classic' look.
The Canvas prints come already stretched on an 18 by 24 frame as a Gallery wrap and ready to hang with a clear coat matt protectant or as a rolled up print mailed in a tube just like the Cotton rag but with an extra 1 1/2 inch border to allow for your own stretch and framing needs.

Sizes and print materials are always open for discussion so please don't hesitate to ask if you have a special request. No matter what your choose, I know you will be pleased with the quality and standard of your new artwork.
